Launy Grøndahl (30 June – 21 January ) was a Danish conductor and composer. Grøndahl studied the violin from the age of eight. [ 1 ] His first work as a professional musician was as a violinist with the Orchestra of the Casino Theatre in Copenhagen, aged thirteen. Launy Grøndahl was a conductor and composer. He was pupil of Axel Gade and Ludolf Nielsen. From to 56 he was permanent conductor of the Danish Radio Symphony Orchestra. His compositions include stage music, orchestral music, concertos, chamber music, piano works, songs. The conductor, Launy Grøndahl, made a special effort on behalf of Langgaard's music, and twice performed his symphonies at the 'Thursday concerts'.
